Troubleshooting Failed Downloads on VidLinkIt

Most download problems come from the source link, network conditions, or platform changes — not from a mysterious setting on your phone. Work through this checklist in order.

1. Confirm the URL type

  • Use a full https link, not a truncated share preview.
  • Prefer official platform domains (youtube.com, instagram.com, tiktok.com, etc.).
  • Remove tracking junk if the paste looks broken, but keep the essential ID path.

2. Check privacy and access

Private Instagram accounts, friends-only Facebook videos, unlisted-but-restricted items, and login walls will often fail. That is expected. Switch to a public link you are allowed to access, or use the official app.

3. Retry once on a stable connection

Mobile networks drop long transfers. Move to Wi‑Fi, disable VPN briefly to test, and try again. For multi-gigabyte TeraBox files, keep the tab active until completion.

4. Try another quality

If a high-resolution option fails, pick a lower quality. Source CDNs sometimes throttle or omit certain formats temporarily.

5. Platform outages happen

Social platforms change endpoints frequently. If many users report failures the same day, wait and retry later. You can also test whether the same link still plays in an ordinary browser session.

6. Browser and storage checks

  • Allow downloads in your browser settings
  • Free up disk space before large files
  • Try a second browser if a corporate filter blocks media MIME types

Still stuck?

Email contact@vidlinkit.com with the platform name, a non-sensitive sample URL if appropriate, and the exact error text. Do not send passwords or cookie dumps.
